Green Sport: Probably same as Virescens. A fast growing narrow variety with good color. This one planted in 1992. They grow 3 to 3.5 feet per year but narrower than Green Giant. This is another variety of Thuja Plicata. Photo taken at Longwood Gardens, Kennett Square, PA. We have had problems with this variety in SW Missouri. Green Giant is superior to Virescenes for us. |
