Valley Forge at the US National Arboretum in
Washington DC August 2001. Valley Forge has a tendency to re-flush late
in the season and the light green of the new growth stands out against
the darker green of the older leaves. This creates a beautiful effect
and extra growth.
Municipalities may prefer it because it has the
classic American Elm shape and it is more DED tolerant than Princeton
and New Harmony.
